Script and Learning Premiere Pro

            Today I began working on my script, there is not a lot of talking in my script other than some small banter that will take place between the two or three characters. The script I use will depend on the schedules of my actors, this is because the actors that are willing to help me have jobs and I need to work around them but I will schedule when to shoot later. The script turned out as follows one of the friends will pick up the other one or two friends and proceed to tell them where they will be going. The place they will be heading to is Celery Fields which is a big hill in Sarasota Florida. Celery Fields will be the first encounter of the main protagonist in my story. I originally thought of having the location be at the beach but because of the weather during this time, I believe the beach would not be the right fit. While at Celery Fields the actors will play football and talk about something that happened to them recently, this is to show that these two or three people are close and have been friends for a while. After the first encounter with the main protagonist, the characters will head to an abandoned house to buy drugs but end up getting murdered instead. I will not be showing the murder on screen because I do not have the resources to do so. I am currently working on getting in contact with the property owners to get the rights to film there.

            I also recently started to mess around in Premiere Pro to get a better grasp of how to use the program. I used some videos already on my laptop and messed around with transitions. My film will be having some audio to show when the film's point of view is the main protagonist, so I decided to mess around with the audio to learn how to pitch audio up and down. Also, learn where the best placements of audio transitions are.

  Dialogue Today I worked on the dialogue with my actors so they will have a better feel of what to say and how to sound natural. I told them that in some clips they can just tell a story of something that may have happened in their life recently. I believe using a story that may have actually happened will sound and feel like they are actual people living their lives. We picked out a few stories that may be good, for example, a story about one of the actor’s actual jobs and how he feels like he may have gotten fired. Another story is of a friend of one of the actor’s brothers and how she helped him clean up some urine off the floor after a party. I also told the actors that they can curse, told them this because I want the dialogue to feel as natural as possible and teenagers curse all the time. Post Production 1

  Post Production 1             The first  thing I started off with changing was the running scene I had; in this scene, I ran at the actors as they were walking away. My original intention was to add suspense to make it look like they were about to be killed but then it cuts to them talking in the car. As one of my peers pointed out this scene felt out of place so I decided to cut the scene from my movie entirely. The next thing I worked on was making the title to the movie bigger than my name at the end. Of course, this was very easy to do all I had to do was click on the title and stretch it out, as well as making my name smaller. The next thing I did was add the actor’s names during the first scene. It starts off with Dylan in the car and as soon as the scene starts his name fades in, then once Nick enters the car his name fades out and Nick’s name fades in. Filming

  Filming             Today I began filming my movie, I should be able to film all my scenes in two hours. What will take us the longest is the driving we will have to do throughout the day but there are some scenes that are filmed inside the car so that works out best for us. We had to redo the first scene because one of the actors turned on music that is copyrighted and I can not put in the film but other than that the first scene went off without a hitch. After that first scene, I secretly filmed some scenes of the two actors just casually talking to each other. I think I might be able to put a few of those conversations in the film. There were more people at Celery Fields that I would have liked but no one bothered us while we filmed so the people were not an issue like I thought they might be.
