  Editing             Today I edited my film, I had a few issues getting the scenes from my phone over to my laptop. I fixed this issue by emailing myself all the scenes I wanted to use and downloading them from my email. I also went on epidemic sound, which is a website that has copyright-free music. This website is where I found the song called entering madness which fit perfectly with my film and what I was going through. I thoroughly enjoyed the editing process and would like to do it again and maybe in my free time. I had issues getting some audio to mute when I wanted there to be no audio and only the music but after looking up a tutorial, I fixed this issue very easily by moving the audio section of the scenes I wanted to be muted down into its own category. I used video transition dip to black because I felt that this transition was the most fluid and didn’t make the film seem choppy. I also used the audio transitions...

  Filming             Today I began filming my movie, I should be able to film all my scenes in two hours. What will take us the longest is the driving we will have to do throughout the day but there are some scenes that are filmed inside the car so that works out best for us. We had to redo the first scene because one of the actors turned on music that is copyrighted and I can not put in the film but other than that the first scene went off without a hitch. After that first scene, I secretly filmed some scenes of the two actors just casually talking to each other. I think I might be able to put a few of those conversations in the film. There were more people at Celery Fields that I would have liked but no one bothered us while we filmed so the people were not an issue like I thought they might be. The weather was cold and overcast, I would have liked a sunnier day for lighting but I had to deal with what I got. After filming...

  Scheduling             Today I worked on scheduling to try and pick out the best day that works for everyone. I chose January 17 th to film because this was the only day, I could get my actors off of work. Sadly, one of my actors could not make it because he could not get work off but I believe the film will turn out perfectly fine without him. I also called Alex to tell her the day we are filming and around what time we will be showing up and she told me that would work. Celery Fields is a public park so obviously, people will be there but I hope the time we can go and because of the weather not many people will be there. I also started a group chat on my phone with all my actors so we could talk about the movie and I also asked their suggestions on what might make the movie better.   Locations             Today I went out around Sarasota, Florida looking for an abandoned house that I could film at. There is not a lot of abandoned homes here in Sarasota but I was able to scout out a few of them. I found out the addresses of each place and emailed the real-estate companies. After some time they all emailed me back two of them said no but I talked to Alex from Trulia on the phone and she told me that I can film there whenever I want just need to give her a call on the day of filming so she can unlock the gate for me. As well as scouting out locations to film I also went to several different locations like the Starbucks close to my house to see if I could film inside the shop but they refused. I went to the beach to look for a good location to film but decided that it would not be a good idea because of the weather and the number of people at the beach that could ruin the film.   Dialogue Today I worked on the dialogue with my actors so they will have a better feel of what to say and how to sound natural. I told them that in some clips they can just tell a story of something that may have happened in their life recently. I believe using a story that may have actually happened will sound and feel like they are actual people living their lives. We picked out a few stories that may be good, for example, a story about one of the actor’s actual jobs and how he feels like he may have gotten fired. Another story is of a friend of one of the actor’s brothers and how she helped him clean up some urine off the floor after a party. I also told the actors that they can curse, told them this because I want the dialogue to feel as natural as possible and teenagers curse all the time.   Script and Learning Premiere Pro             Today I began working on my script, there is not a lot of talking in my script other than some small banter that will take place between the two or three characters. The script I use will depend on the schedules of my actors, this is because the actors that are willing to help me have jobs and I need to work around them but I will schedule when to shoot later. The script turned out as follows one of the friends will pick up the other one or two friends and proceed to tell them where they will be going. The place they will be heading to is Celery Fields which is a big hill in Sarasota Florida. Celery Fields will be the first encounter of the main protagonist in my story. I originally thought of having the location be at the beach but because of the weather during this time, I believe the beach would not be the right fit.
