Scheduling

            Today I worked on scheduling to try and pick out the best day that works for everyone. I chose January 17th to film because this was the only day, I could get my actors off of work. Sadly, one of my actors could not make it because he could not get work off but I believe the film will turn out perfectly fine without him. I also called Alex to tell her the day we are filming and around what time we will be showing up and she told me that would work. Celery Fields is a public park so obviously, people will be there but I hope the time we can go and because of the weather not many people will be there. I also started a group chat on my phone with all my actors so we could talk about the movie and I also asked their suggestions on what might make the movie better. After some discussion, we have decided on the best way to go about making the movie. One of the actors will pick me up and we will drive over to the other actor’s home where the movie will start off. After that, we head to celery fields and then the abandoned house. After all of that, we then head to Chilis to eat food and pat ourselves on the back for having a successful filming day.

Dialogue

  Dialogue Today I worked on the dialogue with my actors so they will have a better feel of what to say and how to sound natural. I told them that in some clips they can just tell a story of something that may have happened in their life recently. I believe using a story that may have actually happened will sound and feel like they are actual people living their lives. We picked out a few stories that may be good, for example, a story about one of the actor’s actual jobs and how he feels like he may have gotten fired. Another story is of a friend of one of the actor’s brothers and how she helped him clean up some urine off the floor after a party. I also told the actors that they can curse, told them this because I want the dialogue to feel as natural as possible and teenagers curse all the time. Post Production 1

  Post Production 1             The first  thing I started off with changing was the running scene I had; in this scene, I ran at the actors as they were walking away. My original intention was to add suspense to make it look like they were about to be killed but then it cuts to them talking in the car. As one of my peers pointed out this scene felt out of place so I decided to cut the scene from my movie entirely. The next thing I worked on was making the title to the movie bigger than my name at the end. Of course, this was very easy to do all I had to do was click on the title and stretch it out, as well as making my name smaller. The next thing I did was add the actor’s names during the first scene. It starts off with Dylan in the car and as soon as the scene starts his name fades in, then once Nick enters the car his name fades out and Nick’s name fades in. Filming

  Filming             Today I began filming my movie, I should be able to film all my scenes in two hours. What will take us the longest is the driving we will have to do throughout the day but there are some scenes that are filmed inside the car so that works out best for us. We had to redo the first scene because one of the actors turned on music that is copyrighted and I can not put in the film but other than that the first scene went off without a hitch. After that first scene, I secretly filmed some scenes of the two actors just casually talking to each other. I think I might be able to put a few of those conversations in the film. There were more people at Celery Fields that I would have liked but no one bothered us while we filmed so the people were not an issue like I thought they might be.
